In reaction to recent societal fragmentation and declining trust in politics and civic engagement, the Aspen Institute Prague is committed to creating new opportunities for development of leadership skills. Leadership events will be offered to young professionals – emerging experts and leaders from the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia – representing a broad range of professional fields, including politics and administration, business, non-profit, science, sports and culture. Seminars are designed to help participants reflect on what makes a good society, thereby deepening knowledge, broadening perspectives and enhancing their capacity to solve the problems at hand.
Aspen Young Leaders Program
This program is designed for emerging leaders from Central Europe, age 20-40, and is organized directly by Aspen Prague, in cooperation with expert moderators acting as dialogue facilitators. Participants from various professional backgrounds are chosen by a committee consisting of the Aspen Prague executive team and the Board. This annual event is organized as a four-day roundtable discussion for around 30 participants and covers a range of contemporary issues. The program offers many formal and informal activities to create an environment conducive to sharing ideas, learning and networking.
Aspen Prague Fellowships
Each year selected outstanding professionals receive Aspen Institute Prague Fellowships to participate either in the Socrates Summer Seminar or the Aspen Ideas Festival in the United States. Candidates are selected by a committee consisting of the Aspen Prague executive team and the Board.
