The event, chaired by our Supervisory Board Member <strong>Ji\u0159\u00ed Schneider<\/strong>, will host:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ulrike Gu\u00e9rot<\/strong>, Founder and Director of the European Democracy Lab<\/li>\n<li><strong>Petr Koblic<\/strong>, CEO of Prague Stock Exchange<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vladim\u00edr Handl<\/strong>, expert on German politics, Institute of International Relations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The debate will revolve around Ulrike Gu\u00e9rot&#8217;s article in the latest Aspen Review: <a href=\"\/issue\/state-vs-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Germany: On its Own or in the Middle of Europe?<\/em><\/a>. Speakers will focus on the role of Germany and its economy in the EU in the aftermath of the economic crisis. Special emphasis will be put on the Central European region which is closely attached to Germany, both economically and politically.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has Germany&#8217;s position within the EU structures changed in the recent years?<\/li>\n<li>Would other member states welcome a more politically active leader?<\/li>\n<li>Do all member states benefit from the solutions proposed by German representatives?<\/li>\n<li>What role does German economy play for the V4 states? Has it changed as a result of the current recession?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The debate will be in <strong>English<\/strong>. The entry is<strong> FREE<\/strong>.
