{"id":28776,"date":"2018-06-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-27T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aspeninstitutece.softmedia.cz\/news-article\/aspen-review-cafe-beyond-the-human\/"},"modified":"2018-06-28T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-06-27T22:00:00","slug":"aspen-review-cafe-beyond-the-human","status":"publish","type":"news-article","link":"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitutece.org\/cs\/news-article\/aspen-review-cafe-beyond-the-human\/","title":{"rendered":"Aspen Review Caf\u00e9: Beyond the Human"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aspen Review Caf\u00e9 entitled Beyond the Human took place for the first time in Budapest with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/author\/aleksandra-przegalinska\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Aleksandra Przegali\u0144ska<\/a>, Research Fellow at the Center for Collective Intelligence at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2018\/trust-machines-measure-maintain-turbulent-times\/\" rel=\"noopener\">her cover story in the actual issue<\/a>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/kristofbardos\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Krist\u00f3f B\u00e1rdos<\/a>, Green Fox Academy, chaired by Aspen alumna <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/antonia-meszaros-7319116\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Ant\u00f3nia Mesz\u00e1ros<\/a>, Executive Director at UNICEF Hungary.<\/p>\n<p>Aleksandra Przegali\u0144ska elaborated in her presentation <strong>How to go gentle through the Tech Storm<\/strong> on development of AI, ethics in AI, legal aspects of AI. She extensively informed on her research on chatbots and human-machine interaction, expressing doubts on possibility to fully replace machines. She also mentioned various AI devices on the market, which are controversial due to their ethical, health, or other impacts on humans.<\/p>\n<p>Krist\u00f3f B\u00e1rdos presented his study on <strong>Future of Work<\/strong>. He tries to see the upcoming changes as challenges more than a threat. Nevertheless, he emphasized that there will be most probably regions and group of professions, where it will be difficult to adapt as fast as the disruptive changes caused by technology development will be coming, therefore there will be a need to offer an assistance and support to them. He emphasized that long life education will more urgent than ever.<\/p>\n<p>The presentations were followed by a discussion with profound questions by Ant\u00f3nia Mesz\u00e1ros on future of work and Universal Basic Income, \u00a0questioning singularity coming any time soon, and on general use of AI or other digital devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aspen Review Caf\u00e9 moved to Budapest!
