Previously, he was director of the GLOBSEC Policy Institute and CEPI think-tanks, advisor to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Slovakia, and to the EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2007\u20132009).\u00a0He began his professional career as a broadcaster at Radio Free Europe \/ Radio Liberty\u00a0in Prague, and was later program director at the Pontis Foundation\u00a0based in Bratislava.\u00a0Milan earned his MPhil from Charles University in Prague, his MA at the Central European University in Budapest, and also studied at SAIS\u00a0Johns Hopkins University\u2019s Bologna Center.
