He is currently a senior researcher at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics. In the past, he worked as a research scientist at Facebook AI Research. Prior to joining Facebook in 2014, he worked as a researcher at Johns Hopkins University, Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, Microsoft and Google. Tom\u00e1\u0161 has been a member of the Google Brain team, where he developed efficient algorithms for computing distributed representations of words (word2vec project). He obtained his PhD for work on recurrent neural network-based language models (RNNLM). His long-term research goal is to develop intelligent machines capable of communicating with people using natural language.
