Let\u2019s say the <em>Aspenians<\/em>, the people who have been taking part in some of the programs, the Aspen Young Leaders alumni, the people who took part in Aspen\u2019s discussions, those who helped financially, worked in the Aspen team, served on the board, have written for Aspen Review or those who advised. Aspen is people. Amid the international wave of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2020\/illiberal-remittances-mass-migration-demise-myth-west-fueling-populism-cee\/\" rel=\"noopener\">populism<\/a> and neo-nationalism, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2019\/unstoppable-rise-czech-oligarchs\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrej Babi\u0161<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2017\/viktor-orban%3a-the-self-nominated-future-leader-of-central-europe-and-then-europe\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Viktor Orb\u00e1n<\/a> getting into power in Central Europe. The rise of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2018\/startups-in-hungary\/\" rel=\"noopener\">sharing economy<\/a>, the Internet of things and cloud computing. The first photo of a black hole. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2017\/new-luddite-fears-are-misplaced%3a-if-new-technology-really-cut-jobs%2c-wed-all-be-out-of-work-by-now\/\" rel=\"noopener\">AI replacing<\/a> human jobs. Waves of Australian bushfires. SpaceX and Jeff Bezos make civilian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2018\/care-going-mars\/\" rel=\"noopener\">space travel<\/a> a reality. Vladimir Putin starts a Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2022\/corpse-ideology\/\" rel=\"noopener\">invasion of Ukraine<\/a>. One of the founders of Aspen Institute CE and US Secretary of State from Czechia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2022\/madeleine-albrights-legacy\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Madeleine K. Albright<\/a> passes away. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2020\/5g-estonia-picks-national-security-technology\/\" rel=\"noopener\">5G networks<\/a> launching around the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is definitely not at all what happened between 2012 and 2022. It is therefore not easy to put the last ten years of humankind into just a few sentences.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But one thing is clear \u2013 society is evolving and the Aspen people follow current trends, issues and challenges. And more than that \u2013 they try to anticipate the upcoming and be helpful.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just to make <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ideas Impacting Society<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> happen as stated in the Aspen claim from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designportal.cz\/studio-touch-branding-redesignovalo-logo-i-ctvrtletnik-mezinarodni-site-aspen-institute\/\" rel=\"noopener\">2017 rebranding<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the last decade, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitutece.org\/aspen-young-leaders-program\/\">Aspen Young Leader Program<\/a> joined almost\u00a0400 emerging leaders in Central Europe. Dozens of public debates, conferences or other policy meetings took place. These 10 years amounted to reaching hundreds of thousands of people not only in the CE region who got in touch with Aspen, his programs or outputs. People addressed topics such as value based leadership, liberal-democratic values, transatlantic issues or just \u2013in general\u2013 the future of our society and the whole (wo)man kind. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Aspen&#039;s 10th Anniversary, June 15, 2022\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nqelHKb6eQM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There were per thousand of <a href=\"http:\/\/aspen.review\" rel=\"noopener\">Aspen Review<\/a> articles, interviews, comments and op-eds written by world-renowned authors and thinkers. People were given the space for open and deep discussion, networking of professionals with various backgrounds and inspiration among one other. These are people who represent a diversity of disciplines, opinions and beliefs; people who share openness, faith in a liberal democracy, a desire for a better tomorrow and mutual cooperation while supporting each other on our path.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I would like to express my great gratitude to all those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspeninstitutece.org\/people-of-the-platform\/\">people<\/a> \u2013Aspenians\u2013 I had the opportunity to meet. And as well to those I haven&#8217;t had a chance to meet.
