CE has also started to rethink its possible role in international affairs, which is also the future of the whole of Europe and the world order. If Europe is an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2022\/europe-geopolitical-union\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">emerging geopolitical union<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, that is the topic of an interview which Tom\u00e1\u0161 Klva\u0148a led with <\/span><b>Bruno Ma\u00e7\u00e3es<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a world-known Portuguese politician.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Mykola Riabchuk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a Ukrainian public intellectual is asking in his article <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2022\/who-are-these-people\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who are These People<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, whom Mr Putin is going to liberate and protect and from whom?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time he says that<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cwhat we observe today in Ukraine is a surprisingly strong, mobilized and consolidated political nation where millions of people, including ethnic Russians, proudly claim they are politically Ukrainian\u2014and defend their newly acquired Ukrainianness with arms\u2014contrary to Putin\u2019s beliefs and expectations.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Polish diplomat and politician <\/span><b>Adam Daniel Rotfeld<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> argues something along the same lines. He says that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2022\/moscow-fear\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moscow perceives fear as a political instrument<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><b>Javier Blas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, columnist at Blomberg, comments on the situation regarding resources and says in the interview that<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2022\/war-is-o\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for those who barter the world\u2019s resources, war is an opportunity<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Janina Ochojska<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Polish astronomer, humanitarian and social activist, adds a different point of view and reminds us that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspen.review\/article\/2022\/humanitarian-and-military-aid\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">humanitarian and military aid are two different things<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
