Tomáš Pospíšil

Tomáš Pospíšil joined the Czech diplomacy in 2008. For the last seven years he has been working for the European diplomatic service (EEAS). After a long posting in Russia, he now serves as the Deputy Head of Delegation of the European Union to Uruguay. He analyzes domestic and foreign policies of Uruguay and Mercosur, takes care of EU-Uruguay bilateral relations, including public diplomacy projects, and ensures the corporate communication of the EU Delegation. For the last 22 years, he has lived predominantly abroad, including Russia, Uruguay, the USA, Turkey and different countries in the EU. Thanks to this experience he has been continuously exposed to international developments and met some of the brightest people of this world, so now he is able to compare different political, cultural, and social systems.
