Aspen Institute Central Europe proudly announces its participation in Vogue Summit 2025: FutureMadeCZ, an exclusive conference held at the Cubex Centre in Prague. The event focused on bold visions for the future of Czechia, shaped by technology, sustainability, and societal changes. As Michaela Seewald, CEO and Publisher of Vogue CS, aptly noted, Vogue is more than just a magazine – it’s a community and movement that connects and inspires, built on values like authenticity, courage, and empathy.
Leadership, Values, and Security Through the Eyes of Aspen Alumni
The conference featured exceptional speakers from various fields who revealed key topics for today’s youth, issues that concern all of us. Among the inspiring speakers were our alumni, actively involved in shaping the future.
Yemi A.D., founder of the Moonshot platform, emphasized that “life happens in movement, in rhythm,” and that movement represents freedom. Radka Dohnalová outlined future forms of leadership and demonstrated how artificial intelligence can assist busy individuals. Among other Aspen Alumni speakers was also archaeologist and science popularizer Sara Polak, who participated in a panel discussion on the strength found in vulnerability.
Particular attention was given to the panel “Security and Consideration as Key Ideas for Life in Tomorrow’s World,” featuring our Executive Director, diplomat, and political scientist Jakub Landovský. Alongside director, actor, and screenwriter Jiří Mádl (also an Aspen Institute alumnus) and actress Antonie Formanová, he discussed how to ensure security and prevent the Czech past from becoming its future. Jakub Landovský emphasized the importance of repeating the stories of eyewitnesses, as for today’s youth, the former regime is “hard to imagine.” Jiří Mádl concluded the emotional debate with the thought that perhaps “the peak of civilization has already passed” underscoring the urgency of the discussion about the future.
The Power of Women’s Voices and New Ideals
The conference also featured strong female voices that redefined ideals and values. Former Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová emphasized that compassion and empathy are needed more than ever, and that women belong in politics, despite facing more aggressive treatment. Her message about a quality and inclusive political culture resonated with the need to build a world based on respect.
Vogue Summit 2025: FutureMadeCZ clearly demonstrated that the future is complex and full of challenges, but also offers immense possibilities. It’s up to us to take what is beneficial from technology and remain our authentic, unique selves. We are glad we could be part of this inspiring event and contribute to the discussion about the future of Czechia.
