Judit Szakos

Judit Szakos is a researcher at the Vienna Institute for Global Studies, an institution dedicated to shaping the next 25 years with the expertise of world- leading scholars. Previously, she worked at the Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest, where she played a key role in establishing the John Lukacs Institute for Strategy and Politics.

Judit holds a PhD in Public Administration, and her research focuses on startup ecosystems through the lens of the entrepreneurial state and wicked issues. She is also interested in the social and economic impacts of technological change from a systemic perspective and the state’s role in shaping the future. Her academic journey spans Hungary, Estonia, and Slovenia, where she studied public administration, public policy, and management.

She has been involved in various volunteer activities, including doctoral advocacy with the Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Candidates (DOSZ) and the Negotiation Moot Association, where she helped organize EU simulation training. She believes in the power of giving back to the community and building bridges between academia, industry, and policymakers. Beyond her work, she is passionate about sustainability in everyday life and empowering people through education.
