
Katja Greeson
KATJY GREESON is the Transatlantic Program Director at Aspen Institute Germany, where she oversees the organization’s initiatives on transatlantic exchange, U.S. politics, and policy. In this role, she leads and supports a range of programs, including the U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture, the Laboratories of Democracy Initiative for subnational legislator exchange, Cities Go Glocal, and the America’s Choice podcast. In 2024, Katja spearheaded the Institute’s activities related to the U.S. elections, organizing key events such as the 2024 Election Night in Berlin. Before joining Aspen Germany, she was a Humboldt Foundation German Chancellor Fellow, conducting comparative research on transatlantic civic education. She began her career working in political party politics, campaigns, and youth civic engagement as Director of Marketing at the Democratic National Committee and with various political campaigns in North Carolina. Katja holds a dual M.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina Chapel-Hill and the Pompeu Fabra Universitat in Barcelona.
