BÁLINT KÖVES is an architect and urbanist with diverse expertise in various fields. He has been a volunteer at the Hungarian Contemporary Architecture Centre since 2012 and a project manager since 2016. He also participates in the strategic planning of the organization since 2018. He was the Director and Co-Curator of the Budapest Architecture Film Days for three years, a major film festival in Central Europe. He regularly leads city walks that explore Budapest’s urban development for architects and decision makers. He is currently researching the effects of cultural and creative industries on urban life in the 11th district of Budapest in collaboration with the municipality. This partnership also allows him to contribute to the development of this dynamically evolving neighborhood, where he supports community and local ecosystem building.
