Barbara Skardzińska

BABARA SKARDZIŃSKA a is General Counsel at PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, the Polish railway infrastructure operator, and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board at Trakcja S.A. She began her career in international law firms while also engaging in academia. In 2018, she defended her doctoral dissertation in space law at the University of Warsaw, where she now also teaches. She has studied and conducted research at more than twenty institutions worldwide, but currently focuses on her postdoctoral research. Outside her professional and academic life, she co-hosts the podcast “Zawód prawniczka” (“Profession: Woman Lawyer”), mentors young women, and is active in the Warsaw Bar Association. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog Foxy and exploring the post-war reconstruction of Warsaw.
