
Catalina Popoviciu
CATALINA POPOVICIU is a PhD Candidate at the University of Bucharest, Romania. She is a clinical psychologist, mental health advocate, and social entrepreneur. Catalina is the co-founder of Let’s CEE! – a Central and Eastern European youth mental health initiative and is currently working on projects focused on advancing youth mental health prevention and promotion in Central and Eastern Europe. She has worked as a youth participation consultant for the World Health Organization, contributing to the development of the WHO Youth Engaged for Mental Health publication and the WHO Youth Researchers Forum. Catalina is a member of the WHO Pan-European Mental Health Coalition and a collaborator at Orygen Australia, where she manages the Orygen EMROSA Being Initiative Learning Network Hub, providing knowledge and technical support to youth mental health projects in the region. She was awarded the Fulbright Fellowship and was affiliated with Stanford University as a visiting researcher, working within the Centre for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Her mission is to support young people’s mental health, well-being, coping, and resilience in the region.
