Jakub Dovčík studied technology policy at Cambridge on a government scholarship and after a time at the Analytical Institute at the Slovak Ministry of Health worked at the strategy and analytical institute of the Prime Minister’s office. He was then the first employee of the newly-established Research, Development and Innovation section within the Government office of Slovak Republic, where he now works as a Policy Advisor with the first Chief Innovation Officer of Slovakia on reforms of technology and innovation policies and implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Fund component related to innovation. Before Cambridge, he studied development economics and anthropology at the London School of Economics and King’s College London and was an exchange student at Beijing and Fudan Universities.
