Jan Brábek is an Associate Professor at the Department of Cell Biology at Charles University in Prague and BIOCEV. After finishing his Ph.D. in Developmental Biology in Prague, he moved to the United States, where he did his postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University. There, he worked in the laboratory of Professor Steven K. Hanks – a world-leading expert on integrin-mediated signaling. Jan is also a member of the INVADOSOME Consortium, Czech Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Czech Society for Oncology and Editor of Clinical Cancer Drugs. In 2006, he received the Award of League Against Cancer Czech Republic. His areas of expertise are in cancer cell invasiveness and metastasis.
