Jan is Director of Technology at Open Education Global, a U.S.-based nonprofit. He is an open policy aficionado, active in open government at a global level since 2014. For 10+ years he’s been advocating for open education & open science, open data and open-source software. He co-founded SPy o.z. (Slovak Python civic association) which organizes PyCon SK conferences and has trained

hundreds of elementary school teachers to guide children in learning programming in a fun and engaging way.
Jan has a PhD in information science and loves to help people build personal knowledge management systems, their second brains that give them insane superpowers. Google and Financial Times recognized him as one of New Europe 100 emerging technology stars.
