
Karolina Kania
KAROLINA KANIA is a multilingual Design Anthropologist who bridges academia, business, and civil society. She holds a Ph.D. from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris; her research examines the politics of tourism development in indigenous Kanak communities in New Caledonia. This long-term ethnographic engagement found public expression in the exhibition New Caledonia: An Archipelago at a Crossroads at the Museum of Asia and the Pacific in Warsaw. Currently, she works as an Assistant Professor and Research Fellow at the Faculty of Business Administration, Prague University of Economics and Business. Over the past five years, she has developed a UX research partnership program linking students with NGOs, startups, and public institutions – supporting nearly 40 organizations, including the Organization of World Heritage Cities, Národní pedagogický institut, National Film Museum in Prague, Czechitas, and #HolkyzMarketingu. In the commercial sector, she has contributed to innovative projects for clients such as Avast, Bekaert, Visa, and YouTube. Her writing appears in Polish media, including Tygodnik Powszechny, OKO.press, and Magazyn Kontynenty.
