Katarzyna is Vice- President and Program Director of the Watchdog Poland Civic Network. For more than ten years, she has been involved in shaping the political consciousness of female and male citizens. Her goal is to lead them to exercise their rights and thus cause bring about changes in public institutions – increasing their responsibility for the common good, their sense of a servant role and openness. She co-founded the Watchdog Poland Civic Network in 2003 and then led it until 2010 as a President. She graduated from the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw and completed European postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham (UK). She was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom. She is a member of Ashoka (an organization of innovators working for the public good). She received the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland from the President of Poland.
