Ondřej Kolář

ONDŘEJ KOLÁŘ is a Member of the European Parliament, serving on the Committees on Foreign Affairs and Development, and the Subcommittee on Human Rights. Previously, he was a Member of the Czech Chamber of Deputies (2021–2024), acting as Vice-Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs, and served as Mayor of Prague 6 (2014–2022). He is widely recognized for his firm stance against foreign interference and totalitarian regimes. Notably, as Mayor, he oversaw the removal of the Marshal Konev statue and championed legislation to seize Russian state-owned properties to bolster Czech national security.

Before entering politics in 2011 as secretary to Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg, he worked at New York University in Prague and the global law firm DLA Piper. Educated at Charles University and the University of West Bohemia, he also completed study programs in the US and Ireland. Mr. Kolář speaks English and German and is a proud father of four sons.
