Štěpánka Havlíková

ŠTĚPÁNKA HAVLÍKOVÁ is a tech lawyer specialising in IT law, intellectual property, data privacy, software licensing and digital regulation, with a niche focus on web scraping and AI law. Štěpánka spent nearly two years advising Meta Platforms on data protection and AI-related legal issues, working on high-profile matters before Irish and UK regulators, courts and the European Commission. She is currently completing a PhD on the legal implications of scraping third-party data for generative AI training, with several academic publications on generative AI. Her research examines topics such as verbatim memorisation in large language models and the technical limits of rightsholders’ ability to enforce copyright against AI developers, with multiple papers published in international peer-reviewed journals.
