Sylwia Piekarska

SYLWIA PIEKARSKA is a senior leader in Public and Government Affairs with extensive experience in healthcare policy, market access, and stakeholder engagement across the pharmaceutical and medtech sectors. 

She currently serves as Director of Public and Government Affairs at AstraZeneca (2025), where she leads strategic engagement with policymakers and industry stakeholders to foster an environment that supports patient access to innovation. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Sylwia held regional leadership roles at Boston Scientific (2021-25) and Becton Dickinson (2018-2021). 

Sylwia serves on the Board of Directors of AICE (Aspen Institute Central Europe) in Poland, where she supports strategic initiatives promoting democratic resilience, civic leadership, and evidence-based policymaking. She is also an alumna of the Aspen Young Leaders Program (2018) and Atlantic Council Executive Leadership Program (2024). She holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Warsaw.
