The Aspen Institute Prague became a partner organization of Praga Caput Cultura conference. The event about the importance of culture for city development will take place within the Street for Art 2014 festival.

Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic and a significant heritage site of Central Europe. Culture and arts are an important element of city development and their support requires a strategic approach. The conference focuses on cultural policy of Prague including its central and peripheral areas. The key 6 themes of cultural policy in Prague – Role of culture, Culture & Tourism, Arts in Public Spaces, Research & Development, Local Networks and Creative Entrepreneurship will be explored in panel discussions, seminars and working sessions.

The conference is organised together with Praha 14 kulturní, Prague 14, Institute of Planning and Development Prague, American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic, Arts Institute – Theatre Institute and the Prague City Council.
