TRANSFORMING CITIES: Towards Smart Forms of Governance

The Aspen Institute Prague held a panel discussion on TRANSFORMING CITIES: Towards Smart Forms of Governance at the 17th annual Forum 2000 Conference in Prague and other cities. More than 70 global leaders from politics, academia, civil society, media, business and religion discussed challenges and threats related to democratic transitions and transformation processes during this conference.

Aspen Institute Prague introduced special guests at the panel event dedicated to transforming cities: architect Eva Jiřičnáurban designer Pablo Otaola, Lord Mayor of Prague Tomáš Hudeček and Cisco Czech Republic CEO Jiří Devát. Together they discussed how to utilize citizens’ growing participation for improving the quality of governance and the city life. The panel took place on September 17, 2013.
