Jakub Landovský is a Czech lawyer, political scientist, and university lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague. He has served as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to NATO since 2019. Between 2015 and 2019, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Defense, responsible for the management of the Defense Policy and Strategy Section, where he played a crucial role in the development of defense and security principles and strategies for the Czech Republic. He previously worked as an advisor to the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Czech Chamber of Deputies. He also worked as a lawyer at the Forum 2000 Foundation and as a consultant at the development center of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). From 2000 to 2002, he served as an assistant to the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Former Yugoslavia.
