Lieutenant General Jaromír Zůna served as the First Deputy to the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces. His responsibilities included the coordination and development of long-term concepts, policies, and strategies of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic/Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic (AFCR/MOD). He was personally responsible for the international cooperation of AFCR with allied and partner states and all the tasks and functions related to NATO‘s International Military Staff (IMS), Command Structure (NCS), Force Structure (NFS), EU, UN, and international organizations. Over the course of his career, he has held various command and staff positions. Jaromír recently retired from his post and is transitioning to military diplomacy.
