Jaroslaw Gwizdak
Jaroslaw Gwizdak is an educator, columnist, and international legal expert. He is a law graduate from the University of Silesia in Katowice. He was a judge at the District Court of (West) Katowice and served as its president in the years 2013 – 2017. He has completed post-graduate courses in rhetoric, image creation, judicial personnel management, and European Law. Gwizdak is also a lecturer of law classes at the SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences in Warsaw and a teaching assistant at WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza. He won the main prize of the Citizen Judge of the Year in 2015 and is the originator of the TEDx Lex Katowice conferences and the Day of Justice celebrations in Poland. He has delivered speeches at conferences at the Supreme Court, common courts in Poland, and the National Council of the Judiciary. He was the Policy Leader Fellow at EUI in Florence in 2022, an Alumnus of the Leadership Academy of Poland in 2017, Visegrad Insight Fellow in 2019, and 2020.
