Markéta is a sociologist and a psychotherapist, specializing in romantic relationships. Markéta studied sociology at the University of Oxford and is currently a PhD candidate at Charles University focused on sociology of love. In cooperation with the Institute of Sociology at the Czech Academy of Sciences, her research looks at technology in dating and at millennials’ approach towards romantic relationships.
As a psychotherapist, Markéta runs a private practice in Prague. Her clients are mainly millennials navigating the challenges of finding love and managing their relationships. Markéta also leads educational workshops aimed at relationship skills, writes a blog about dating and regularly speaks at both academic and non-academic events.
