Ondřej is Head of the Latin American Program at People in Need (Člověk v tísni), which is one of the largest NGOs in Central Europe. He oversees programs in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua while teaching about media and Latin America at Charles University in Prague. Before joining People in Need’s Human Rights Center, he traveled extensively around Latin America. Prior to working in the field of human rights he ran weight-loss programs in Texas and Vancouver for a company owned by Bain Capital. In the Czech Republic, he managed a launch of news servers for the MAFRA media group and the Czech Press Agency. He received his Bachelor’s degree in TV Journalism from Charles University and Master’s degree in Interactive Multimedia from the University of Westminster in London.
