Peter is an expert on the EU development policy. He currently works as Director and Partner for the Hungarian ALTUS Group. Between 1995 and 2010 he was a civil servant in the Prime Minister’s Office and 4 different ministries in Hungary. He coordinated the EU’s Phare programme. From 2002 to 2007 he served as vice president of the National Development Agency (NDA) and was in charge of the EU’s structural funds in Hungary. As a consultant, Dr. Heil was involved in different consultancy and training assignments in Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Kosovo, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Serbia. He received his Ph.D. at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences. He studied EU affairs at the Universities of Heidelberg and Oxford.
