Tomáš Pojar is the Vice-President of the CEVRO Institute, Vice-President of the Czech-Israeli Chamber of Commerce (ČISOK) and a security and defense consultant. He studied political science at the Faculty of Social Studies at Charles University, and Counterterrorism Studies and Homeland Security at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Israel. In 1995 he began to work for the NGO People in Need (PIN), which he led from 1997 to 2005. In 2005, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he served as Deputy Minister for Bilateral Relations and First Deputy Minister for Security and EU Affairs as well as bilateral relations with European states. From 2010 to 2014, he was the ambassador of the Czech Republic to Israel.
