Valentina is a postdoctoral researcher in the Translational Neuroscience and Aging Program (TAP) at FNUSA-ICRC, Brno. Her main research interest are to uncover the connection between traumatic brain injury and the subsequent onset of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease later in life. She is also the co-founder of NERVtech, a high-tech R&D company specializing in vehicle simulator technologies in the fields of biometric and cognitive driver evaluation, deep machine learning and data integration. Valentina completed her studies at the University of Trieste, Italy and received her PhD at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 2017 she was awarded the New Investigator Award, offered by the Neuropsychiatric Syndromes in Neurodegenerative diseases PIA at the AAIC in London.
