Petra Soukupová
PETRA SOUKUPOVÁ co-founded the Police Symphony Orchestra in Police nad Metují with her brother at the age of 15, led it as executive director for 15 years, and now focuses on its strategic development. Under her leadership, the orchestra became a recognized phenomenon on the Czech cultural scene, growing into a community of over 150 young volunteer musicians supported by a professional executive team. The ensemble regularly collaborates with leading Czech artists, sells out concert halls across the country, and has performed at major festivals such as Smetanova Litomyšl and Rock for People. It has also worked with French singer ZAZ and American multi-instrumentalist and Grammy nominee Cody Fry, and has raised more than CZK 4.4 million for charitable causes through benefit concerts. Petra and PSO have received several awards, including the Via Bona Young Philanthropist Award (2018), Forbes 30 Under 30 (2019), the British Ambassador’s Award (2019), the Medal of the Hradec Králové Region (2023), and Tuesday Giving Awards (2025). She has collaborated with the Verbier Festival, SBU&Partners, and the Prague Philharmonic Choir. Petra is currently opening a new chapter in collaboration with NOHO, a company focused on community-based wind energy, self-sufficient housing, and neighborhood development.
