Anna Augusztin
ANNA AUGUSZTIN is a senior economist specializing in development economics, macroeconomic forecasting, and policy advice. She currently works for the consultancy OGResearch, where she leads forecasting and capacity-building projects in emerging economies, including North Macedonia, Ethiopia, and Ukraine. Her work focuses on identifying forecasting needs, training senior staff, and strengthening institutional capacity to help countries maintain macroeconomic stability. These experiences have deepened her understanding of institutional needs and economic contexts, forming a foundation for her long-term goal of contributing to public policymaking in Hungary, where she previously served as a parliamentary economic expert. She is also eager to contribute to the Hungarian policy dialogue through published articles and analysis. She is motivated to practice economics during a time of reassessment, advocating for leadership that goes beyond efficiency and rulebook solutions to integrate social and climate considerations and engage society with humility. Guided by this mindset, she looks forward to the programme as an opportunity to broaden her knowledge and engage with interesting people who share a similar commitment.
