Munir Nanji

MUNIR NANJI is Citi’s Central Europe Head, and Citi Country Officer and Banking Head for Czech Republic. As Central Europe Head, he oversees Citi’s franchises in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia as well as 11 Hub-managed countries in Central Europe. His responsibilities were extended to cover Ireland between January 2023 and June 2024. Munir also sits on the boards of Junior Achievement and AMCHAM, Czech Republic and is an Advisory Board member of CZECHITAS. Previously, Munir was the Asia Pacific Region Head of the Global Subsidiaries Group in Citi’s Banking Capital Markets and Advisory business, based in Singapore. Munir has worked internationally across Asia, Europe and Africa, in various countries and regional corporate banking, product management, and legal entity governance roles. Munir holds a 1st Class Honors degree in Electrical Engineering, an MBA from INSEAD, and an MPhil on Strategic Decision Making and Governance from the Cranfield School of Management. He is a Wharton alumnus.
