reSITE

The second annual reSITE Conference took place in Prague from 20-21 June 2013 at the iconic DOX Centre for Contemporary Art.

The world's leading experts in urban design, architecture, planning, technology and finance convened to debate sustainable planning strategies for modern, competitive and livable cities. This diverse group discussed design and planning for public space, waterfronts and urban mobility.

With over 60 international participants, 400 guests and thousands at free public events, reSITE Conference and Festival is the largest, most comprehensive and international event of its kind in the Czech Republic. What is more, it is accompanied by the reSITE Festival.

With the aim to catalyze a generation of thinkers and doers and to inspire social action and facilitate a more inclusive bottom-up / top-down urban process, the organizers offered workshops about drawing in public space, an international design competition and 2.5 day workshop, urban games, film screenings, bike rides, discussions & a public space intervention at the Vltava riverfront. Everyone should take part in their city development. The festival made it cool to do so.
