School principals are the key figures in school systems. They are managers who have a significant impact on the quality of teaching and the educational outcomes of their schools. Despite this, they are exposed to obstacles such as excessive administrative burdens, insufficient support, etc. In our debates, we discuss possible ways to improve the position of school principals in the Czech education system and the importance of the relationship between statutory authorities and school management.
